Roses and Bunnies

Hubby brought home 2 dozen beautiful roses for me yesterday. Said he wasn't kissing my arse (to which, I replied, "Why not?") but that he was feeling melancholy and missed me during the day! That's so sweet, isn't it? Especially since it was so sincere. (But still, I think that the occasional arse-kissing bouquet is not completely out of line!) Aren't they gorgeous? I put the vase (a gift from his mother) of roses below the frame of his love-pledge to me.

I've been working on felting a finger-puppet bunny this evening with my grand-daughter in mind. I've broken 5 felting needles and have numerous finger-punctures from trying to needle-felt the doll with an opening for a finger.
Hubby got so excited about me making something for him to play puppets with, with Soph, that he fell in love with the bunny! (How could he not. Right?)
-Said he'd love to have one to hang from his rear-view mirror. I was working on a "Turtle" by then (a semi-replica of the kitty in the picture at the head of this blog), so how could I not give the bunny to him and make Soph another one? ..and I will, tomorrow. But for now, this bunny is the Gunny's. It's even got Mamere's heart on it, which I plan to put somewhere on each one I felt. These are great fun to do, but hell on needles and fingers!

I'll post pics of Turtle and Bunny II as soon as I get them done.
I do love my babies (the supposedly grown-man-one, included!)

Those finger puppets are adorable. Why not glue instead of sew? Or velcro? You really must remember, I don't hand sew if I can get away with it. It's like stirring constantly - must go in microwave. Prick finger - must glue!

Pretty roses too. Love ya, A
